Apart from an optional profile photo you choose to upload, we do not collect precise location, contacts, your photo library, your microphone, or health data.
On the iOS app we do not use Firebase: we collect no analytics or crash/diagnostic data, and push notifications are delivered through Apple's APNs. The Firebase items above apply to the Android app only.
To operate and secure your account, deliver and improve the learning experience, process subscriptions, provide customer support, and meet legal obligations. We process data on the legal bases of contract performance, our legitimate interest in improving the service, your consent (analytics where required), and legal compliance.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors that run the service on our behalf:

We keep account data while your account is active. Analytics and crash data (Android app) are retained per Firebase's default retention. When you delete your account (see §6), we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where law requires longer.
Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS (the app additionally pins the API certificate). Authentication tokens on your device are encrypted using the device secure store (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, AES-256-GCM). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; we never store them in plain text.
DriveIQ is intended for users old enough to study for a driving licence and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from such children.
Data may be processed in countries other than yours (e.g. EU/US) under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app or via the store listing, and the "Last updated" date will change.
